Product Description

Mary Shelley (August 30, 1797 – February 1, 1851) was a British novelist, dramatist, and essayist best known for her Gothic novel Frankenstein: The Modern Prometheus (1818). Frankenstein has been made into countless movies and is well known throughout the world in many languages. It's an easily recognizable classic novel that's now a book test by Black's Magic.

Here's what you get:

192 pages, perfect bound, printed on heavy white paper stock. The size of the book is standard 5.5 x 8.5, and will fit nicely next to other books on your shelf. It is designed, in every way, to look and feel just like any other book sold in the market. You'll not be able to tell the difference, anymore than your audience will. And best of all, the gimmick is woven into the text itself in such a way that it is entirely readable, from front to back, before and after the show. In our view, it's 100% examinable.

It's also incredibly easy to use, right out of the package. Open it up, read the directions, and watch our downloadable instructional video—then try it out.

The method is based on our original associative and opposing word concept, and has been strategically placed to work with the flash back principle throughout the entire book. There are no other book tests this easy, this affordable, and this recognizable on the market—except ours. If you have Dracula 2.0 or Persuasion, then you already know how to use Frankenstein.

The presentation is just as simple as using the book. Have someone casually examine the book. Take it back. Riffle through the pages and have them stop when they want. Peek the opposite page and you know the word they're looking at. It's that easy. It only takes a fraction of a second and you're all set. Hand it back out and go into your routine. Done. Bamm!

You look like a genius. They can't believe it. Soon you're booked to entertain kings in foreign countries who have lots of oil, and they pay you lots of cash. It's good to be you. And all because you bought our book test.

  1. Also for bizarre magic

Posted by Van Helmont on 28th May 2010

As a bizarrist, I always look to expand my vision: for an event I'm preparing, I had been collecting period objects, paraphernalia et al to make it all look convincing. Frankenstein, the novel on itself, is already a fascinating and captivating story: you only need to summarize it for people to get scared (which is any bizarrist's dream).
This book is exactly what it says: examinable, well produced and, even to a seasoned magician, the method is a gem.
    Many thanks to the makers!

  2. Great product

I have received wonderful reactions to this product so far. It can be used for walk around, parlor and stage and is 100% inspect-able. Since it is a normal book, it can be paired with any booktests that utilize normal books (think of the Sherlock inductive booktest. It is also a recognizable classic book. I highly recommend this product.
