Product Description

The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus by L. Frank Baum is a story about a man whom every child knows about--Santa Claus. The jolly man who brings gifts to all on Christmas. There are many stories that tell of his life, but the delightful version relayed in The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus is by far the most charming and original of all. Only L. Frank Baum, the man who created the wonderful land of Oz, could have told Santa's tale in such rich and imaginative detail.

This is a mentalist's dream come true, a wonderful classic effect with a whole new look and feel, gorgeous cover, heavy paper -- it looks like you just picked it up at the store. This is your chance to create miracles.

Imagine this: A participant is freely chosen from the audience -- she is in no way a prearranged confederate, or for that matter, a spontaneous stooge. The participant is ushered onto stage with applause. She is utterly unprepared for the astonishment that she will soon encounter and the wonderment she will experience as you read her mind.

The eager participant is given the opportunity to choose a book from among others placed on a table. It is then shown to the audience -- one, two, or even six people get the chance to handle and examine the book to prove that it is real BEFORE AND AFTER the show; it easily passes close-up examination -- for protracted periods of time -- 100% of the time.

Its authenticity is undeniable because it is a classic well-known title in circulation throughout the world. Yet another works of art for the working artist.

There is a free choice of page number at every stage and she can even change her mind. There are no prearranged confederates or spontaneous stooges. You don't need an assistant. There are no cribs; no complicated anagrams; no reflectors or mirrors; and no electronics. It's very easy to use! You don't even have to memorize anything. Just go over the directions once, and you're ready to go. Yes, it is THAT simple.

  1. Passed inspection at an Oz convention!

Posted by ss on 18th Aug 2014

I performed using The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus (LASC) at the largest Wizard of Oz Convention ... it went very well. My favorite moment was when one Oz expert took the book from me, looked through it, and exclaimed "it really *is* the Life and Adventures of Santa Claus!".

So, why not five stars? Good question. This is an excellent example of this kind of book test. The problem is, this kind of book test is limited as to the nature of the words that you can reveal, and some can be quite short. MOAB, on the other hand, has far fewer reveals but they're more complicated/interesting.

    Recommended.

Also recommended, if you're interested in the Wizardof Oz, is the International Wizard of Oz Club (www.ozclub.org)
